In addition to the theoretical foundations of production technology, maintenance techniques and operation of devices and materials, students study measurement issues and methods to ensure their accuracy, standardization and certification processes, product quality assessment at various industries, gain practical skills in measurement and product quality assurance sphere.
Students receive practical skills and in-depth knowledge at "KazStandard Academy", opened on the basis of Satbayev University with collaboration of Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology (KazStandart). Students have access to modern metrological laboratories, regulatory and technical documentation, a reference base and undergo practical training and internship at Kazstandart.
In the course of training, students can additionally obtain “Verifier of metrological measuring instruments” qualification and get a license for the right to verify the measuring instruments, such as water and electricity meters, to work in Kazakhstan’s public utilities and perform equipment certifications.

- The opportunity to learn from the standards' keepers (time, temperatures, lengths, masses, electricity, etc.);

Graduates of the program work as specialists in standardization, metrology, quality engineers, expert auditors, inspectors for supervision ensuring the measurements’ uniformity. Bachelor's diploma provides them with the opportunity to work in any industry in standardization, certification and metrology direction.
Graduates work in organizations and enterprises that manufacture products or provide services: Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology, Kazakhstan Institute of Standardization and Metrology, National Center for Expertise and Certification, National Center for Accreditation - their regional subsidiaries; accredited centers and laboratories, food and processing industry enterprises, etc.
