Innovative educational program trains personnel focused on scientific, experimental research and teaching activities in the field of electric power industry and management of technological and technical systems. Graduates are awarded PhD. academic degree.

Doctoral students study scientific and technical issues related to electric power industry, theory and practice of technical experiments in the electric power industry, electric machines. Much attention is paid to intellectual entrepreneurship, applied projects’ elaborations for the real economy and the launched projects’ commercialization.

Students have access to a specialized laboratory furnished with modern equipment from Schneider Electric (France) and Educational Techniques (Russia), in which, besides educational experiments, it is possible to conduct scientific research as well.

Doctoral students are actively involved in research projects under foreign consultants’ guidance. Plans for doctoral studies include mandatory internship at leading foreign universities. Two scientific advisors, a national and a foreign one, supervise dissertation work and its defense.

Graduates work at electrical stations and substations, at industrial enterprises, as well as teachers, researchers at research centers, universities, in national and private companies and other organizations conducting research, design and educational activities in various economy sectors.
