Students study basic building disciplines, building structures, engineering systems of buildings and structures, design and calculation of structural elements, energy-efficient design and construction of civil buildings, the basics of earthquake resistance of buildings and structures, as well as building design software systems and the basics of building information modeling (BIM).
Students gain the skills to use complex software systems for designing buildings or other structures, create digital (information) models of buildings, visualize all the details of an object in 3D, calculate their configuration options, determine the nomenclature of materials for construction and virtually test the characteristics of building operation.
Program provides one training and production practice, students undergo internships and internships in the leading design and construction companies of Kazakhstan: Design Academy "KAZGOR", "BI Group", "KazRDICA" "Bazis-A" and other organizations.
The most active and gifted students have the opportunity to study at partner universities under academic mobility programs in such universities as Slovak Technical University in Bratislava, Czestochowa Technical University (Poland), Bialystok Technical University (Poland), Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (Russia), Moscow State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, University Sains Malaysia (Malaysia), University of Aveiro (Portugal), Polytechnic University of Turin (Italy).
Students work as managers in construction companies, civil engineers with BIM skills, BIM designers, BIM engineers for operating the buildings in construction organizations, at design institutes, in technical supervision bodies in the field of urban planning and housing and communal services, in state bodies of architectural and construction control.
