An innovative educational program that trains scientific personnel focused on scientific, experimental research, teaching activities in the field of surveying, prospecting and exploration of mineral resources for mining exploration and geological enterprises. The graduate is awarded an academic degree of Ph Doctor. The specialty is accredited by the German program ASSIIN, the diploma is quoted in Europe.
Doctoral students study the methods of studying and analyzing the composition and properties of geological bodies and minerals in the subsoil, the methodological foundations of all types of geological survey, prospecting and exploration using remote, drilling, mining, geophysical, geochemical and laboratory research methods. Much attention is paid to intellectual entrepreneurship, the development of applied projects for the real economy and the commercialization of neglected projects.
Doctoral students are actively involved in scientific and research projects under the guidance of supervisors. Plans for doctoral studies include the mandatory internship at leading foreign universities. The preparation and defense of the thesis are conducted under the guidance of two scientific leaders, domestic and foreign.

Graduates work as teachers, researchers in scientific and research centers, universities, national and private geological and mining companies and other organizations conducting research, project and educational activities in various sectors of the economy.
