The graduate is awarded an academic degree of Ph Doctor. The specialty is accredited by the German program ASSIIN, the diploma is quoted in Europe.
Doctoral students study the methods of studying and analyzing the composition and properties of geological bodies and minerals in the subsoil, the methodological foundations of all types of geological survey, prospecting and exploration using remote, drilling, mining, geophysical, geochemical and laboratory research methods. Much attention is paid to intellectual entrepreneurship, the development of applied projects for the real economy and the commercialization of neglected projects.
Doctoral students are actively involved in scientific and research projects under the guidance of supervisors. Plans for doctoral studies include the mandatory internship at leading foreign universities. The preparation and defense of the thesis are conducted under the guidance of two scientific leaders, domestic and foreign.
Doctoral students pass their scientific internships at CERCAMS Natural History Museum (London UK), State Key Laboratory of Coal Resources and Safe Mining of China (Beijing, China), Tomsk Polytechnic University (RF), Institute of Geology and Mineralogy named after V.S. Sobolev Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Novosibirsk, Russia), Moscow State University named after M.V.Lomonosov (Moscow, Russia), Lorraine University (France), Institute of Mining Engineering and Technology (China), St. Petersburg Mining University (St. Petersburg, Russia), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland), Southern Federal University (Rostov-on-Don, Russia).
