Innovative degree program aimed at training highly qualified scientific specialists in the automation and control sphere in industry. Program combines fundamental knowledge, applied scientific research and modern methodological approaches, forming doctoral students' competencies for elaborating and implementing the intelligent technologies, digital solutions and innovative management systems in the manufacturing sector. Upon completion of their studies, graduates are awarded the PhD degree.

Doctoral students study current trends in elaborating the automated systems, including industrial digitalization and applying the artificial intelligence in production. Special attention is paid to the industrial Internet of things to improve the efficiency of production processes, predictive intelligent equipment diagnostics, as well as intelligent control systems growth and execution.

Doctoral students study on contemporary devices and tools from leading global brands such as Schneider Electric, Siemens, Festo, and Honeywell.

Doctoral students actively participate in research projects led by foreign consultants and participate in academic exchange programs with leading global companies and universities, including Honeywell Aerospace Company (USA), Schneider Electric Company, University of Florence (Italy), Slovak University of Technology, State University of New York at Binghamton (USA) and others.

Preparation and defense of the dissertation are conducted under the supervision of 2 scientific supervisors – domestic and foreign ones. Doctoral studies include mandatory internships at leading overseas universities: Lublin Technical University (Poland), St. Petersburg State Technical University, universities in Italy, France, Slovakia, Germany and Korea.

Doctoral students practice at the enterprises “Verbulak”, “Siemens-Kazakhstan”, “APCS-Honeywell”, “KazMinerals”, “Kazatomprom”, “Kazzink”, “Kazphosphate MF”, “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating”, etc.

Graduates work as managers and experts at enterprises in various industries, research institutes, engineering centers, and IT companies. They are engaged in development and implementation of modern automated control systems, digital technologies and "smart" solutions to improve the efficiency and reliability of production in various industries.
