A unique training program for engineers in the field of natural gas exploration and production and gasification, gas storage and metering, gas transportation from its production sites to the consumer, including export supplies. Graduates receive an academic degree of Master of Engineering and Technology in 1 and 1.5 years of study or Master of Technical Sciences in 2 years of study.

Program was developed jointly with the leading national company in the gas industry "QazaqGaz" and aims to train highly qualified specialists for the country’s fuel and energy complex.


Undergraduates study gas engineering, gas pipelines, methods of designing technological processes of gas pumping and storage in tanks, including with the use of modern IT technologies, learn to solve technical problems during the operation of gas storage facilities, as well as pipelines during the transportation of gas and hydrocarbon processing products and gain skills in formulating and finding solutions to problems, teamwork, leadership skills qualities.


Undergraduates are interning at the enterprises of gas cluster of the fuel and energy complex and undergo an internship abroad, studying academic mobility programs at Colorado School of Mines (USA), Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas (RF), Adam Mickiewicz University (Poland), Tomsk Polytechnic University (RF), University of Lorraine (France).


Graduates work in the positions of chief engineer at gas distribution station, chief engineer at compressor station, chief dispatcher, chief technologist, shift supervisor, site supervisor in such companies as Amangeldy Gas, Intergaz Central Asia, Asian Gas Pipeline, KyrKazGaz; KazTransGaz, work at universities and in scientific organizations.
