Training of personnel in the field of project work in the sphere related to civil and industrial construction, urban planning and landscape architecture.
Future bachelors receive comprehensive knowledge in architecture field. Students will be taught architectural graphics, academic drawing, painting, layout design, three-dimensional computer modeling, architectural and landscape design, urban planning.
Thus, they will gain knowledge on creating a project model, making production and technical decisions in the field of civil and industrial construction, urban planning and landscape architecture, restoration and reconstruction of historical buildings, interior architecture, as well as for organizing the project work in a team.
Graduates will be able to analyze the urban environment, model spatial objects of the environment with reference to urban planning situation, create new architectural objects, landscapes and urban spaces, expositions, interiors, also, to be able to carry out design work on reconstruction and restoration.
You will learn how to create urban, rural and park ensembles with architectural and design objects, and engineering structures included in them; interior spaces of residential and public buildings, including the decoration of rooms; underground public structures and interiors.
Most of the teachers have extensive practical experience in their specialty and are recognized as the acknowledged specialists-architects.
The educational practice in 1st and 2nd courses for the students selected by a special competition is held in Samarkand (Uzbekistan), Baku (Azerbaijan). At the senior courses, students have the opportunity to study for one semester at universities in Italy, Poland, Malaysia and other foreign universities under academic mobility programs.
The production practice takes place in the leading design organizations of Almaty city, such as "KAZGOR" Design Academy, "Almatygenplan", "Almatygiprogor", "Urbostyle", etc. During the study course, students successfully participate in international professional contests as well.
Graduates receive "Bachelor of Engineering and Technology" qualification under “Architecture" educational program, and work as architects, landscape architects, artists. The study priority is practical activity, design of residential and public facilities, urban planning.
Architects and designers are especially demanded in modern conditions. They work as highly paid specialists and will be able to be employed for private architectural bureaus as well as elite construction companies, and create a new image of independent Kazakhstan.
The study period is 5 years.
