The program for training the specialists in modern biotechnology, molecular and cellular biology sphere.

Biotechnology as a science is at the intersection of cellular and molecular biology, molecular genetics, biochemistry and bioorganic chemistry. Biotechnology specialists use living biological organisms, their systems and processes, applying scientific methods of genetic engineering, in order to create new varieties of products, plants, vitamins, medicines for early diagnosis and successful treatment of complex diseases.

Students learn to apply research methodology in biotechnology, to create and modify new genetic development programs and genotypes with programmed properties, to design and give new functions to living systems and organisms, to create means of correcting biological development programs and reconstruction technologies to compensate for the reduced or lost biological and ecological functions.

Biotechnologists can work in the positions of biochemists, biologists, virologists, microbiologists at research and design organizations, enterprises of microbiological and pharmaceutical, food industry, as well as in organizations that control and supervise the operation related to biotechnological industries, the environment state and biological products’ quality.
