An innovative degree program aimed at training highly qualified specialists in chemical production sphere in the field of technical design of functional materials with specified properties, including the elaboration and implementation of innovative chemical and technological processes for obtaining the given materials from natural, secondary and man-made raw materials, considering the requirements of ecology and environmental protection.

A graduate of the program receives a PhD degree after defending their dissertation. The diploma is accompanied by Supplement according to ECTS standard, developed according to the standards of European Commission, Council of Europe and UNESCO/CEPES, which confirms the education received for European universities and provides an opportunity to confirm national higher education for foreign employers.

Doctoral students study research methods, environmental technologies and renewable resources, priority resource management models, innovative technologies for recycling processes, calculation and modeling of mass transfer processes and apparatuses; as well as get prepared for scientific work, participate in international research and projects. Program’s obligatory part is the performance of individual dissertation research; industrial practice; experimental research activities; foreign internships in scientific and educational institutions of the near and far abroad.

Graduates work as project managers in research institutes and scientific production corporations, technical directors or leading technologists at enterprises producing functional materials with specified properties, and production managers at domestic and foreign chemical enterprises.
