Program provides doctoral students with the skills to conduct industrial experiments, analyze tribo-technical processes, use digital sensors and microprocessors, and apply predictive analysis and optimization methods. The curriculum includes "Scientific research methods", "Innovative methods of processing experimental results", "Digitalization of operational and service processes", "Diagnostics of the technical condition of machines and mechanisms", "Innovative machinery and technologies in science and production" disciplines and others. Special attention is paid to design and research courses, academic writing, and skills in preparing English-language scientific publications.
The educational process is accompanied by scientific and pedagogical practice, internships at leading enterprises of the country and participation in real engineering projects. “Kazakhmys Corporation”, “Kazatomprom”, “Kazchrome”, “Kazzink”, AHMP, “Karachaganak Petroleum Operating” and other industry leaders are among the program's partners.
Program is actively integrated into the international academic space: doctoral students participate in Erasmus+ and DAAD programs, undergo foreign scientific internships, publish in international journals and gain access to the world's largest scientific databases. Additionally, government and nominal grants, scholarships for achievements, as well as support from industrial partners are provided.
Graduates of the program successfully implement themselves in industrial engineering, metallurgy, oil-gas and manufacturing industries, in research institutes, universities and engineering companies. They occupy positions of heads of engineering projects, researchers, teachers, specialists in optimization and digitalization of production, and also build a career up to the level of professor, technical director or department head.
