To be eligible as a regular student for the MA (German Studies), the candidate must:
meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI of the Educational Regulations) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
hold an honors BA or a BA with a major in German studies or demonstrate equivalent training. Candidates from a related discipline or who have only obtained a minor in German studies in their BA may be admitted provided they complete their training with undergraduate courses not exceeding 24 credits.
have obtained an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent in their previous German studies, or even in the required complementary courses
demonstrate good knowledge of French and English
have successfully completed a minimum of 12 German language course credits or demonstrate knowledge deemed equivalent. The Academic Management Committee may impose additional courses on the student if it deems it necessary.
