Bachelor of Architecture

The UdeM School of Architecture is one of 12 schools in Canada whose training is accredited by the Canadian Architectural Certification Board (CCCA).

It offers two programs which, when acquired successively, give access to the internship and to the examinations of the Ordre des architectes du Québec: the bachelor's degree in science, architecture and the master's degree in architecture.

The first year workshops propose the exploration of the form and the architectural language through a series of exercises mainly carried out in model, then the dwelling is approached. In the second year, students tackle projects in an urban environment and are introduced to work on materiality and construction. In the third year, they develop two projects of their choice and can take part in a workshop abroad or in international exchanges.  

The bachelor's degree leads either to the labor market or to the professional master's degree in architecture (M.Arch.) or to higher studies in related fields.
