Complete your training in statistics by introducing yourself to research or specializing in biostatistics. This program aims in particular to broaden theoretical and methodological knowledge as well as learning statistical consultation. General eligibility conditions
To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.
Required diplomas and admission thresholds: Quebec
To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:
Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or another undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Conditions specific to this program
To be eligible as a regular student for the M. Sc. (statistics), the candidate must:
- meet the general eligibility conditions (section XI of the Educational Regulations) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
General Option
- hold an honors BSc (mathematics), or an honors BSc (statistics), or a joint honors BSc in mathematics and economics, mathematics and computer science or demography and statistics, or a baccalaureate with a major in mathematics, or an undergraduate diploma adequately preparing for the studies he wishes to undertake, or proof of training deemed equivalent
Biostatistics option
- hold a specialized B. Sc. (mathematics), or a specialized B. Sc. (statistics), or a baccalaureate with a major in mathematics, or an undergraduate diploma adequately preparing for the studies that he wants to undertake, or to attest to training deemed equivalent.
M. Sc. in Statistics
- have obtained an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 in undergraduate studies or the average required by the original university for admission to a graduate program, if this is higher, or the equivalent.
