Bachelor of Urban Planning

Today, the city has become the essential living environment where the activities and aspirations of the majority of humans unfold.

And, wherever possible, urban planners are responsible for promoting and implementing the best solutions to respond to the multiple tensions to which the spatial framework of cities is subjected.

Urban planners are not the only specialists who work on the city, but the profession of urban planner has to meet three requirements:

• know how to articulate all the scales of urban development from the block or the street to the metropolitan region;
• take into account the long term and the interest of future generations in all decisions that change the city;
• make public decision-makers, private actors, technicians and all of civil society work together to bring about the continuous improvement of the urban living environment.

In a nutshell, urban planners see themselves as promoters of truly sustainable urban development.
