Did you know that the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at UdeM is the only veterinary teaching establishment in Quebec? A program recognized by the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association and the Order of Veterinary Medicine of Quebec, the undergraduate doctorate in veterinary medicine (DMV) prepares you to become a player of excellence in the field of veterinary medicine. This is first-rate scientific and medical training which develops the specific and transversal skills required for this practice or the pursuit of graduate studies. The training takes place at the Saint-Hyacinthe campus, a study and living environment marked by warm human relationships and personalized student services.
If research appeals to you, pair the DMV with the Master of Veterinary Science program to explore a specific field and complete your clinical training.
Note that the title of doctor of veterinary medicine does not confer permission to practice the profession. To obtain this right in Quebec, you will need to obtain a permit from the Order of Veterinary Physicians of Quebec after passing the exams required by law.
