To be eligible as a regular student, the candidate must meet the general eligibility conditions (section II) of the Educational Regulations for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

To meet the Université de Montréal average of 3.0 out of 4.3, candidates from this province must meet the following requirements:

Accepted diploma: Baccalaureate, Bachelor; duration of 3 years, or other undergraduate degree deemed equivalent.

Conditions specific to this program

To be eligible as a regular student for the MA (French-language literature), the candidate must:

  • meet the general eligibility conditions (section II of the Educational Regulations) for Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies
  • hold a specialized BA (French-language literature) or a BA with a major in French-language literature, or a diploma adequately preparing for the studies they wish to undertake, or proof of training deemed equivalent
  • have obtained in the 1st cycle an average of at least 3.0 out of 4.3 or the equivalent
