Obtaining a bachelor's degree in religious studies from the Institute of Religious Studies attests to training as a specialist in the religious field.

This baccalaureate is characterized by the breadth of the themes studied, covering the ancient and contemporary dimensions of the religious phenomenon. The fields of religious sciences and theology are covered there, in two distinct orientations but also comprising bridges between them.

The bachelor's degree in religious studies covers the conceptual bases as well as the essential content specific to each of the two orientations. It also covers the different sectors of the disciplinary field: courses in religious studies, courses in theology, courses on themes that call for combined approaches of theology and religious studies, courses in other relevant disciplines, and language courses, if desired.

Two honor courses (enriched), in religious studies or in theology, facilitate a possible transition to mastery, through specific activities. After completing 60 credits of the bachelor's degree with a cumulative average of 3.7, it is possible to request a move to the honors track. This progression under the sign of excellence is attested on the diploma.

The baccalaureate opens the door to a master's degree in theology and religious studies.
