Admission Requirements
General eligibility conditions
To be eligible as a regular student and subject to the quality of the file, the candidate must either:
- hold a diploma of college studies (DEC) awarded by the Quebec Ministry of Education or demonstrate training equivalent to the DEC
- have successfully completed the Preparatory Year study program of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the University of Montreal
- hold a pre-university diploma and have successfully completed one year of university study (full-time equivalent)
- have successfully completed at least 24 university credits other than those in the Preparatory Year study program of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of the University of Montreal
To be eligible, you must provide proof of a level of knowledge of French corresponding to that required for this program of study. To this end, you must meet one of the following requirements:
- have passed the Uniform Test in French, language of instruction and literature, at the college level, from the Ministry of Higher Education of Quebec.
- have submitted proof of knowledge of French recognized by the University.
- have obtained at least B2 in oral comprehension and written comprehension in a French test recognized by the University of Montreal during the 24 months preceding the start of the term of study covered by the application for admission.
