Goals:

Provide students with the knowledge necessary to understand the institutions and history of the Canadian and American common law systems, so as to promote effective comparison with civil law institutions
allow students to acquire knowledge of Anglo-Canadian and American comparative law in the major areas of law (contracts, property, liability, family, civil procedure, etc.)
allow students to develop a critical approach and view of Quebec, Canadian and American law
teach students how to solve problems using legal categories from different systems, enabling them to come up with original solutions to complex problems
provide students who hold a bachelor's degree recognized by the Barreau du Québec with training that allows them, if they so wish, to have access to professional orders in other Canadian provinces or foreign countries.
