Occupational therapists are health professionals who, through their interventions, aim to develop, adapt, maintain and actualize people's potential in order to perform activities that are meaningful to them in their real life context.

Thus, the occupational therapist plans, applies and supervises activity programs for people with a physical or mental disability, permanent or temporary, in order to improve their daily autonomy and facilitate their social integration.

Occupational therapy favors the use of activity in all its forms (artistic, playful, work, domestic, etc.). It plays an important role in preventing functional problems and also contributes to promoting the health of the population.

Occupational therapy is for people of all ages, from newborns to the elderly. The occupational therapist can intervene with an individual, a family, a group of individuals, a community organization or a business. He works in the various establishments of the health network, in schools and in private practice.

The mission of  the bachelor's-master's continuum program in occupational therapy  is to train generalist and versatile occupational therapists, concerned with meeting the needs of diverse clienteles by promoting the benefits of occupation and of an environment favorable to the health of the individual.

The program offers opportunities for learning and applying its skills to individuals responsible for their development and able to engage socially throughout their careers. Clinical training emphasizes the consolidation of essential knowledge through the practice of professional skills in an interdisciplinary clinical context.
