Make extracorporeal perfusion the heart of your practice
In accordance with the competencies outlined by the Canadian Society of Clinical Perfusion (CSCP), this program trains clinical perfusionists to practice their profession with the respect and dignity required when caring for patients undergoing treatment for cardiovascular conditions (including cardiac surgery, ECMO and mechanical hearts), as well as patients undergoing lung transplants, trauma, orthopedic surgery, spinal surgery or localized chemotherapy.
Upon completion of this program, you will have mastered the essential skills required of an extracorporeal perfusionist:
The scientific knowledge and technical skills to solve problems when performing extracorporeal perfusion
The ability to search for scientific data relevant to your continuing professional development
The ability to evaluate the quality of your own work to ensure competent practice in your specialty
