The master's program is aimed at those who wish to develop a personal language by giving themselves the tools adapted to their aesthetic choice. In order to develop an artistic approach that is specific to you, you analyze the musical art forms, styles and languages likely to enrich your creative process and you discover the most recent trends in musical creation. You acquire research autonomy, critical thinking and the ability to present your creative approach in a coherent manner, whether orally or in writing.
The development of a personal language is based on mastery of the traditional tools of instrumental composition, where musical ideas are transcribed onto a score, and technological tools developed for different forms of digital music.
An important part of the program is devoted to the development of your compositional approach, under the direction of a member of the faculty, through the composition of concert music, music for the screen (cinema, video games, Web) and music of the stage (dance, theater).
In the case of a creative project centered on the score, you must have acquired solid writing skills, master various composition techniques and have skills in musical analysis and orchestration. In the case of a project in the field of digital music, you must master the relevant technologies and present a distinctive artistic approach.
