The Doctorate in Sciences in Biotechnological Processes (entrance modality with a master's degree) was opened in 1993.

This program trains high-level human resources, and through its research, generates innovative technologies to address and respond to the country's problems, in fields related to the production, transformation and conservation of agro-food, chemical-pharmaceutical and biological products, as well as attention to the environmental impact that industries have on ecosystems.

Researchers committed to the area of research and training of human resources belong to the postgraduate course. There are 14 full-time professors and 6 part-time professors. It should be noted that teachers also have projects linked to the industry.
In addition, the postgraduate course is supported by 6 laboratories where highly relevant research is carried out.
The admission process is carried out in two calendars (A and B) a year.

Possess a bachelor's degree in careers related to postgraduate studies; said affinity will be determined by the Academic Board.
Original official certificate that accredits a minimum average of eighty.
Submit a letter stating the commitment to devote full time to postgraduate activities.
Present and pass a TOEFL ITP English exam with a minimum of 337 points, or the European Framework of Reference and certify obtaining level A 2.
Submit and pass the admission exam or pass the propaedeutic courses in the event that the postgraduate program has them.
Carry out an interview before the Academic Board of the Doctorate in Sciences in biotechnological processes and obtain an approving result, verifiable by official letter issued by the Academic Board / Postgraduate Coordinator, and those established by the call.
