Although the postgraduate program focuses on the phenomenon of tourism, its scope covers a wide range of disciplines: social sciences, particularly economics, sociology and anthropology; environmental sciences, human ecology, ecological planning and environmental impact; and urban and territorial planning, geography and urbanism, among others.

Admission Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or degree examination certificate in the areas of Social Sciences, Economic Administration or Environmental Sciences.
- Demonstrate proficiency in at least one foreign language, according to a reading comprehension exam administered by the Department of International Studies and Foreign Languages of Cucosta.
- Pass the EXANI III exam administered by CENEVAL.
- To pass a preparatory course proposed by the Academic Board.
- Present an interview, with the members of the Academic Board, who will assess your interest, your profile and the conditions that facilitate your good development in the program and possible obtaining of the degree.
- Submit a research protocol, which will serve as the basis for the thesis work, in accordance with the research lines and knowledge generation of the program, endorsed by one of the professors of the Doctoral program and must have the approval of the Academic Board.
- Full-time dedication.
- Those additional ones established by the call for applications.
