Admission Requirements

 To enter the traditional doctoral program (with a master's level) 
  • A simple copy of the Master of Science degree in Physics or related areas, as determined by the Academic Board. 
  • Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original master's degree certificate or equivalent document. 
  • Have a Unique Population Registry Code (CURP). In the case of foreigners, it must be valid. 
  • Demonstrate the applicant's knowledge of the English language through an official document, accrediting at least level B1 of the common European framework of reference for languages ​​or its equivalent. 
  • Letter explaining the reasons for your interest in taking the program, endorsed by a professor from the academic staff.
  • Letters of recommendation from two members of the scientific community related to the student's area of ​​specialization. 
  • Pass the interview with the admissions committee established by the Academic Board. 
  • Register in SIIAU and pay the corresponding fees. 
  • Other requirements as specified in the respective call for applications, as defined by the Academic Board. 

Applicants who are graduates and/or have degrees from the University of Guadalajara are exempt from submitting a simple copy or original of the requirements established in section B) subsections a) and b) of this resolution, since the school archive already has the electronic information of the same. 

For applicants, both domestic and international, with studies at this level completed abroad, in addition to the above, documents must be apostilled or legalized, as applicable, and if they are in a language other than Spanish, a translation must be provided. Furthermore, a technical assessment must be requested from the Postgraduate Coordination Office.
