The University of Guadalajara contributes to the development of professionals specializing in these disciplines through its Doctoral Program in Chemical Sciences, a postgraduate program focused on addressing emerging problems with a significant social impact.
Admission Requirements
In addition to those required by University regulations, the following are required:
Applicants who are graduates and/or have received a degree from the University of Guadalajara are exempt from submitting a simple copy or original of the requirements established in sections a), b) and c) of this resolution, since the school archive already contains the electronic information of the same.
For students with previous studies completed abroad, in addition to the above, the following is required: the degree, certificates and birth certificate apostilled or with the procedure applicable for countries not members of the Hague Convention and if they are in a language other than Spanish, accompany a translation by an accredited expert.
- A simple copy of the master's degree in an area related to Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry; this is at the discretion of the Academic Board, whose decision will be final.
- Demonstrate a minimum average of eighty with an original certificate or equivalent document from your master's studies.
- Original birth certificate.
- Have a Unique Population Registry Code (CURP). In the case of foreigners, it must be valid.
- Demonstrate the applicant's knowledge of the English language through an official document, accrediting at least level B1 of the common European framework of reference for languages or its equivalent; evaluations such as TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, among others will be taken into account.
- Demonstrate experience in research related to chemistry, being the author of a quality research product; this at the discretion of the Academic Board.
- Conduct and unanimously approve a personal interview with the admissions committee appointed by the Academic Board, following the guidelines established by said Board.
- Present and defend before the admissions committee, in oral format, some research work of which the applicant has been author or co-author.
- Submit and pass an admission exam specifically designed by the Doctoral Academic Board.
- Approve the other requirements published in the respective call for applications.
