The program is designed to be covered in six academic cycles, thus ensuring terminal efficiency by organizing the different learning units in such a way that the last cycle prioritizes thesis writing work.

Admission Requirements

In addition to those stipulated by current university regulations, the following will apply: 
  • The Master's degree or, where applicable, the degree examination record in Political Science, Social Sciences or related disciplines, issued by a recognized higher education institution.
  • Statement of reasons for pursuing the doctoral program.
  • Proposal of a research topic in the area of ​​Political Science that demonstrates coherence between the student's topic of interest and the line of knowledge generation and application to which they aspire.
  • Letter of commitment to full-time availability to complete the program.
  • To prove a minimum average of 80 (eighty) with an original certificate or equivalent document from previous studies, as the case may be.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a foreign language: English, French or German: with the score determined by the Academic Board.
  • Obtain a favorable result in the curriculum assessment interview.
  • Accredit the CENEVAL EXANI III exam, with the requirements approved by the Academic Board.
  • Those additional ones established by the call for applications.
