The Master's Degree in Mexican Literature Studies highlights the theoretical and critical work on Mexican literature, with emphasis on the 20th century. Seminars are offered in various genres: narrative, poetry, theater, essays and literary chronicles by specialists who in turn review other centuries and other trends within the framework of Mexican literature.
It is a research-oriented master's degree whose main interest is to strengthen the methodological and theoretical knowledge of its students, applied to Mexican texts, to create researchers of national and international competence.

Admission Requirements

  • Possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in a discipline related to the study of letters and have passed with an average of no less than 80 or its equivalent.
  • Submit an application to apply to the program.
  • Submit proof of understanding of English or French, issued by a recognized institution. Foreign students will also present a document that guarantees their understanding of the Spanish language.
  • Interview with an evaluator appointed by the Academic Board.
  • Take and pass a literature knowledge test.
  • Submit a letter of 3 to 5 pages specifying:
  • Reason for your interest in the master's degree.
  • Description of the topic of your interest in research, in the literary field.
