The MSc in Nanoscience at Aarhus University is an interdisciplinary, research-oriented programme focused on understanding and manipulating materials at the nanoscale (0.1-100 nanometres). Working at this scale allows for the development of new or significantly improved material properties and functions, with applications across diverse scientific fields.

As a Nanoscience student, you will specialise in one of three areas: nanophysics, nanochemistry, or molecular biology. You can also explore various areas, including nanomaterials, nanocatalysis, nanobiotechnology, nanomedicine, nanofood, toxicology, and ethical aspects of nanotechnology.

In addition to regular lectures, you will participate in theoretical and practical exercises in small groups. Throughout the programme, you will experience close interaction with professors who are always happy to engage in academic discussions and answer questions.

Career:

Nanoscience graduates are qualified for research and development roles in medicine, the environment, biotechnology, and the IT and communication industries. Many graduates also pursue PhDs or work with top companies through iNANO collaborations.
