You will deepen your understanding of chemical and biological processes and apply this knowledge to real-life challenges in areas like food production, medicine, green energy, and sustainable materials. From your first semester, you work hands-on in labs and pilot facilities while also contributing to innovation in your workplace.

You can specialise within either Biotechnology or Chemical Engineering depending on your academic background. Within each track, you’ll tailor your studies through elective courses and projects. Topics may include:

  • Biotechnology: lipid and protein biotechnology, medical technology, biomaterial engineering, and environmental technology.
  • Chemical Engineering: plastic materials, energy and storage, water technology, and chemical processing.

The programme is designed for flexibility, so your academic projects can often be aligned with your job tasks - strengthening your learning and impact.

Career:

As a graduate of the flexible Master’s programme, you step into the job market with more than a degree - you bring experience. Most students transition directly into full-time roles with the companies where they’ve worked during their studies. Your profile combines academic depth with practical know-how, making you highly sought-after across sectors like biotech, energy, pharma, food, and green technology. Typical roles include project manager, innovation engineer, R&D specialist or technology lead.

You can also use the degree as a stepping stone towards a research career with a PhD.
