In the Work-Integrated Master’s degree in IT Product Development at Aarhus University, you study part-time while working part-time in a company or organisation. This lets you apply design, programming, and system development skills directly to real-world interactive products and digital solutions. After the 4-year programme, you will graduate with both solid work experience and a high-quality master’s degree.

The programme combines computer science with industrial design, giving you the skills to design, prototype, and evaluate interactive digital and physical systems. Through research-driven teaching, studio-based learning, and hands-on project work, you build competencies in areas such as physical computing, IoT and cloud technologies, user interfaces, augmented reality, and multimodal interaction. 

You can tailor your education with electives in advanced data management, interactivity, and digital mediation. The programme is taught in English and takes place in the IT-city Katrinebjerg—home to a vibrant community of more than 3,000 IT students and a strong innovation culture.


Career 

Graduates from the work-integrated MSc in IT Product Development combine academic depth with hands-on industry experience. Many students are offered full-time employment at their workplace after graduation, while others go on to research careers or PhD studies.
