The two-year MSc in Economics provides you with a thorough understanding of various economic fields. The programme’s flexible structure allows you to focus on a single area of specialisation or to combine several economic disciplines across a range of fields such as finance, microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics and business data analysis.  


Each semester, the department offers about 25 elective courses. This broad range of courses allows you to specialise in a particular field of interest and to compose an individual course programme. During the programme you will also have the opportunity to spend a semester abroad. In the 4th and final semester, you will do your Master’s thesis on a topic of your choosing. 


Aarhus BSS – the School of Business and Social Sciences – is a Triple Crown-accredited faculty at Aarhus University. As a student at Aarhus BSS, you will be part of a dynamic, international academic environment that attracts students and researchers from across the globe.  


 

Career: 


Graduates pursue careers in the corporate world (e.g. financial institutions and consulting firms) or advisory positions in the public sector (e.g. ministries and local authorities) with opportunities for executive roles or academic careers through PhD progression.
