The MSc in Data Science at Aarhus University equips you with both general and specific competencies through a flexible structure.  


During the programme, you will complete three core courses covering advanced statistical learning, large-scale optimisation, and data visualisation. In addition, you choose one of five 30 ECTS specialisation packages: 


  • Computational Statistics 
  • Data-Intensive Systems 
  • Finance and FinTech 
  • Signal Processing 
  • Business Intelligence 


The programme is interdisciplinary, drawing on expertise from the Departments of Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics and Business Economics, and Electrical and Computer Engineering. You will work with real-world data challenges and cutting-edge methods throughout your studies. 


As a Data Science student, you will benefit from a strong research environment, a vibrant student community, and access to excellent facilities.  


Career: 


Graduates work in a wide range of companies and organisations: the wind turbine industry, consultancy firms, pharmaceutical companies, telecommunications, food, and healthcare. Many also pursue PhDs and careers in research and academia.
