Through the Bachelor’s degree programme in Data Science, you will develop a strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, programming and machine learning.  

The first year covers fundamentals in the above subjects, whereas the second year covers machine learning, statistical modelling, databases and optimization techniques. The year ends with a case-based project course where you will be in contact with a research group at the university. The third year allows for a number of electives, where you can broaden your knowledge in a subject of your interest or learn about areas where data science is used. The year concludes with a Bachelor’s project - typically centred around the use of data science methods for solving a real-world challenge. 

The department of Data Science has a vibrant student community and a number of student organisations, which organises organise lectures on current topics, study excursions and social events.  
 
Career: 

Graduates of the BSc in Data Science often continue with a Master’s degree to deepen their expertise. They are in high demand across industries such as finance, technology, healthcare, telecommunications, and more, helping organisations build data-driven solutions. Some graduates also pursue research careers through a PhD programme.
