In the Work-Integrated Master’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry at Aarhus University, you study part-time while working part-time in a company or organisation. This allows you to apply chemical and molecular methods directly to real challenges in drug discovery and development. After the 4-year programme, you will graduate with both solid work experience and a high-quality master’s degree.


The programme gives you a strong foundation in chemistry while letting you specialise through advanced electives in areas such as organic synthesis, drug delivery, biophysical chemistry, and chemical biology. You will learn in state-of-the-art laboratories and work closely with active researchers in fields such as bioactive compound analysis, membrane protein studies, bone structure research, and molecular biophysics.


Throughout the programme, you will be part of research groups and may collaborate with private companies or public institutions, gaining practical experience that supports your academic development and prepares you for industry-ready problem-solving.
