The Department of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Commerce, Alasmarya Islamic University offers Master's programs in the economics. The program has 39 credits, 10 courses, and a number of 4 years of study for graduation, 45 graduates that have been enrolled in the program up to this year.

  The Master’s program in economics is one of the most important programs offered by the college. Permission to practice was granted by the decision of the General People’s Committee in 1997 AD, and then the program was approved again by decision of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research No. (413) of 2021 AD.

 

Program Objectives The program is based for certain goals among them: 1- To utilize the scientific research method to analyze economic problems at the macro and macroeconomic levels. 2- To estimate, calculate and analyze the behavior of macroeconomic variables such as the gross domestic product, the volume of investment and saving, government spending, the net trade balance account (exports, imports, the unemployment rate, inflation, and the balance of payments account). 3- To conduct feasibility studies and evaluate small and large projects and their profitability. 4- To confirm the ability to apply economic theories in the field of micro and macroeconomics, and explain economic phenomena and problems affecting the economies of developing and developed countries.

  For labor market, the professional fields of program can be summarized in two points:

- Faculty members in higher education - In all senior state administrations, public institutions and bodies.
