The Economics Department is one of the key departments within the Faculty of Economics and Commerce at Alasmarya Islamic University. Established in 1991, the program awards graduate a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Commerce, specializing in Economics, after completing eight semesters and a minimum of 135 credit hours. The program aims to prepare and qualify professionals capable of meeting the demands of the labor market in fields such as monetary and fiscal policies and economic development.
Program Objectives:
1. Prepare qualified and specialized professionals in economic sciences, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary to actively contribute to economic development.
2. Meet the needs of the labor market by providing well-trained economists.
3. Conduct specialized research and studies in the field of economics.
Learning Outcomes:
A. Knowledge and Understanding:
1. Equip graduates with foundational concepts in economics.
2. Provide a solid understanding of local and international financial and monetary institutions.
3. Develop the ability to describe economic challenges faced by economic institutions.
4. Explain economic theories to evaluate institutional performance and interpret econometric analysis results using sound scientific methods.

2. Analyze market performance in the context of the economy.
3. Distinguish sources of national income.
4. Derive and propose suitable solutions to address economic challenges.

2. Differentiate between monetary, financial, and trade markets within the economy.
3. Apply scientific methods and mathematical techniques to study national economic performance.

3. Utilize technology to design programs and carry out operations related to economics.
