The importance of the General Psychology Division lies in preparing psychological and educational cadres. The whole cadres are capable of contributing to building a comprehensive society by providing the graduate with the educational and psychological necessity in light of contemporary trends, in one hand and contemporary challenges that our current society is witnessing in another hand, then this success is based on quality standards and academic accreditation, as it seeks to achieve excellence and sophistication in preparing... Graduates as educational and psychological graduates with distinction and as researchers in light of the requirements. All these are for the local and global era through ambitious academic and research programs that are innovative and in accordance with what is new and in line with the times.
The objectives of the General Psychology Division are as follows: 1- Providing the student with the general laws of general psychology. 2- Commitment to professional work ethics. 3- The ability to employ his academic, professional and specialized skills. 4- Providing students with experience in order to conduct purposeful research in the field of education and psychology.
The professional fields in which a general psychology graduate can be employed imply various schools and universities as a psychologist. Mental health centers, child-care centers, elderly care centers and other services that serve the community. The psychologist can also prepare workshops and courses in order to qualify schoolteachers to take into account differences. Individuals among students, it can also identify the nature of the psychological, educational and academic problems of school students and work to address them in a sound manner and use the best guidance methods to deal with these students.
