            Computer sciences department is one of the scientific departments at the faculty of information technology, Alasmarya university. It was established in 2015. It offers a Bachelor Degree in Information System Technology . The program has 137 teaching units which are divided over 48 courses. Students are required to complete at least 8 semesters to graduate. 71 students graduated from this program up to this year.

            Based on the vision of Computer sciences department at Alasmarya university that aims to provide a remarkable educational service in the scientific context, it aspires to be a local and global leader in its field by being a destination and a academy of expertise for those seeking knowledge and services in the field of information technology in this community. It has contributed to the graduation of many young and ambitious cadres to serve society and contribute to its progress. Students and faculty members participate in many scientific activities to raise community awareness and contribute to its progress, examples of which include the Hour of programing and World Information Technology Day. Students and faculty members also conduct some field studies, as well as create computer data base systems for community institutions to contribute to the development of those institutions.

Program Goals:

            • Preparing and qualifying specialists to meet the requirements of the labor market in the public   and private sectors in computer science through applying a variety of learning and teaching     methods and training students to make the acquired knowledge and skills easy and effective in order to solve related issues.

            • Providing notable theoretical and applicable academic programs in the field of computer             sciences that fulfil the global standards of academic quality and meet the needs of the labor             market.

            • Encouraging and developing scientific research in the fields of computer science in general, and             the fields of artificial intelligence, robots, computational linguistics, and networks in particular.

            • Preparing a stimulating environment for faculty members to develop their knowledge and             develop their educational and research skills.

            • Building and developing partnerships with the governmental, private and community sectors and             all of its various institutions.

Computer Science graduates can take on many jobs, including:
