The scientific department at the Faculty of social
sciences and humanities, Alasmarya Islamic University offers a
License Degree in Education for Special Needs. It was established in 2015 due
to the chancellor’s decision, No. 35/2015. The program has 137 units which are
divided over 54 courses. Students are required to complete at least 8 semesters
to graduate. 230 students graduated from this program up to this year.
Community service program involves
an enhancing contribution on the part of the teaching staffs in this department
to the community through a process of giving lectures and holding conferences,
seminars and educational discussions about the related issues for the purpose
of educating public regarding the special educational, social, family and
psychological needs for this class. It also seeks to develop specialized
knowledge in special-need educational domain. Seeking this purpose, this
department helps students to convoy up-to-date contemporaries in different
branches of especial need services required for the target population as well
as the whole community in general.
