The Department of Zoology at the Faculty of sciences, Alasmarya Islamic University offers a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry . It was established in 2015. The program has 140 units which are divided over 53 courses. Students are required to complete at least 8 semesters to graduate. 62 students graduated from this program up to this year over 4 graduating batches .
About the program
The Department of Zoology is considered one of the main departments of the faculty of Science. It was established in 1990/1991 AD as one of the departments of the College of Arts and Sciences/Nasser International University previously under the name of the Department of Biology. It includes: Department of Zoology and Department of Botany. In 2015 AD, the Department of Zoology has become an independent department under the name of the Department of Zoology. The Department of Zoology affords a contributing and handy services not only students at this department but also for students from other departments and colleges considerably through providing its scientific support and applicable facilities for. This contributing affordance is carried through as the department participated in teaching zoology courses to students of human medicine, pharmacy, and dentistry.
For the purpose of curricula enhancement, the Department of Zoology has regular strategies to keep the learning content and material always updated and rich, seeking this purpose, several continues developments have been made on the curricula used in teaching Zoology in this department with notable progress in global scientific research, in order to keep with ongoing global developments in the age of technology. It also contributes to analyzing and addressing some of the problems affecting society, whether health or environmental, by identifying the type of problem and finding effective solutions to it.
