The Faculty of Arts offers a program in the field of History. The educational program grants a Bachelor's degree in History, and it was established in 1986. The program consists of a total of 135 units, with 57 courses to be completed. The minimum duration required for graduation is eight semesters. Over the years, the program has produced 849 graduates across 35 batches.    

     The program holds great importance for society as it aims to effectively utilize the department's resources in preparing individuals capable of consciously dealing with historical events and sources. This is achieved through the application of historical methodology in research, leading to logical conclusions and findings that benefit society in various domains. The program employs modern approaches and qualified competencies, enabling future generations to preserve history by accessing its diverse sources. Consequently, individuals in society are served in all political, social, and economic aspects, thereby promoting values, goals, and behaviors that contribute to valuable outcomes and the advancement of society as a whole, benefiting all its segments.   

     The program focuses on achieving self-sufficiency and self-reliance in teaching history. It emphasizes defining scientific concepts, utilizing research methodologies, and delivering historical knowledge effectively. Students develop skills in accessing primary sources, explaining objectively, and participating in scientific conferences. The program also aims to address societal and environmental issues through workshops and awareness lectures, benefiting the community and mitigating negative phenomena.

Graduates can work in various fields, such as being faculty members in educational institutions   at the primary and secondary levels, working in archaeological museums, the private education sector, delivering historical lectures on different radio programs, working in specialized research centers, historical and cultural associations and centers, heritage preservation, and in the field of diplomatic politics and embassies after completing relevant courses.
