The department was established in 2013. The program has 166 units, 20 courses, and a minimum of 8 semesters of study for graduation, 9 batches of students have been enrolled in the program and 82 alumni.

The educational program has a scientific basis on which the knowledge outcome is based so that graduates have skills of learning, clinical practice, the ability to communicate, learn, self-develop, professional and community service, and acquire medical professional ethics.

Stage 3: clinical stage, fourth year

  For 10 months, the student will study: Internal Medicine (I), General Surgery Medicine (I), and there will be an examination, specializing in a percentage (10%) of the Great Class, followed by Family and Community Medicine courses, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, Ophthalmology and Ophthalmology, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and Diagnostic Radiology.

Stage 4: Supplementary training (concession)

Supplementary training is compulsory for all students of the Faculty. In addition, it is an integral part of the medical education curriculum of the Faculty of Medicine. In no case may a student begin supplementary training until he has successfully completed all the required courses at all levels of study.

Bachelor's degree in Medicine and Surgery is awarded only to those who have completed the prescribed training, which is regulated by the supplementary training regulation approved by the Faculty.

 

Program objectives:

1.       Graduate physicians capable of providing medical services inside and outside hospitals, efficiently and in safe and ethical ways .

2.       Link medical education to individuals' health needs, so that doctors can identify and address health problems and contribute to the service of society and the environment .

3.       Develop the educational programme based on scientific principles and establish a methodology of thinking and research so that graduates have skills from learning and clinical practice, the ability to communicate, learn and self-develop, and the acquisition of medical professional behaviours derived from the ethics and ethics of the profession .

4.       Contribute to continuous medical education, ongoing professional development and community service .

5.       Conducting research that contributes to the solution of health problems within the community and contributes to the development of health services and medical education
