The Industrial Engineering Division in Mechanical and Industrial Engineering Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Alasmarya Islamic University, stands as a beacon of modern specialization, having been established in 2020. With 158 units and 78 courses, this division sets itself apart within the College of Engineering, particularly in comparison to other disciplines. The impetus for this specialization arose from the transformative impact of the Industrial Revolution on the country, prompting the emergence of large industrial entities. These entities necessitated the presence of trained and capable technical competencies to orchestrate a myriad of industrial operations. The Industrial Engineering Division, born out of this necessity, has a dual focus: facilitating various industrial operations and cultivating a cadre of nationally trained and qualified professionals in engineering management. Its overarching mission is to elevate the performance and efficiency of factories and diverse industrial institutions .

In terms of structure, the program requires a minimum of 10 classes for graduation, providing students with a comprehensive educational experience. This program, still in its nascent stage, has set ambitious objectives that align with broader human development goals. It seeks to prepare competent engineers specializing in mechanical and industrial engineering, envisioning them as distinguished professional models for future generations. The emphasis extends beyond national boundaries, aiming to graduate engineers equipped to contribute not only to the nation's development but also to demonstrate their prowess on the international stage. The program emphasizes continuous professional and academic development, fostering engineers who can adapt and evolve in their respective fields .

The Industrial Engineering Division has successfully positioned its graduates in various professional fields, with promising opportunities both locally and internationally. Local prospects include positions at Al-Dafnia Food Industries Complex, Factory Wages, and a juice factory currently under construction. Notably, the German company Siemens and the CNC machinery company are actively seeking graduates from this program. Last year, 14 mechanical and industrial engineers secured positions in response to the available offers. This tangible demand underscores the program's efficacy, and projections indicate an anticipated increase in demand for industrial engineers in the coming year. The Industrial Engineering Division, thus, not only addresses current needs but also anticipates future demands, positioning its graduates as sought-after professionals in the evolving industrial landscape .
