1- Preparing students specialized in the field of political science in a scientific and political manner that will enable them to lead society and contribute to raising the level of political awareness in it, by developing their scientific and cognitive capabilities, encouraging the spirit of research and scientific writing, and participating in discussion, dialogue, analysis and conclusion, for the purpose of increasing the space for thinking and creativity. 2- Encouraging students to follow changes in political reality, and to monitor and discuss what concerns the identity, values, culture, and fate of the homeland and nation in international relations and foreign and international policies.
3- Encouraging students to debate, dialogue, scientific writing, and participate in seminars, conferences, and workshops, to further qualify their political personality, develop their abilities, and help them think creatively.
4- Understanding and clarifying Libya’s political role in the international system; and follow up on new work related to needs, demands and issues in public policy.
