The College of Arabic Language and Islamic Studies houses the Arabic Language Department, where the Master's Degree program in Nahw and Sarf was established in 2002 AD. This program comprises 30 units distributed across 10 courses, with a minimum graduation requirement of 2 years or semesters. The program has seen 47 graduates to date, with no specified number of intakes.

     The program provides an overview of its significance to society by encompassing essential aspects of Arabic grammar and morphology, integrating modern cognitive theories alongside traditional heritage in these fields, and discussing their semantic dimensions. Moreover, it addresses the demand of higher education institutions for qualified national personnel. Additionally, it offers postgraduate programs domestically in the field of grammar and morphology, contributing to the localization of higher education and serving the community effectively.

     The program aims to achieve several objectives. Firstly, it focuses on providing a cognitive foundation for understanding the rules of Arabic grammar and morphology. Additionally, it seeks to utilize cognitive components within the study of grammar and morphology. Furthermore, the program involves tasks such as collecting and authenticating manuscripts, engaging in discussions on their topics, and comparing them with modern grammatical achievements. It also aims to equip national individuals with high scientific proficiency to fulfill the staffing needs of university institutions. Moreover, the program aims to deepen comprehension of established textual concepts through interpretation and proficient application of Arabic grammar rules, encompassing aspects such as syntax and prosody. Lastly, it aims to cognitively and technically qualify academic researchers in the field of Arabic language rules.
