The Faculty of Health Sciences at Alasmarya Islamic University presents the Bachelor of General Nursing program, established in 2015, spanning 147 units and 56 courses with a minimum graduation duration of 8 semesters. This program plays a pivotal role in society by serving as the fundamental foundation for comprehensive knowledge of human health. Acknowledging the human being as the core focus, the program aims to cultivate male and female nurses equipped with extensive knowledge and skills to lead the nursing and health community.
In alignment with the latest program objectives, the curriculum emphasizes excellence, striking a balance between theoretical study and practical application. The methodologies employed focus on fostering creative abilities to ensure graduates achieve competence and qualitative excellence. Quality assurance in the teaching and learning process is prioritized to support student's academic achievement, with a commitment to fostering cooperation and creating an information network for the exchange of experiences among all sectors and medical personnel.
Faculty members are encouraged to enhance their research capabilities, contributing to increased research productivity. The program promotes the dissemination of nursing knowledge through various channels, including local and international conferences, workshops, seminars, and training programs. This approach aims to enhance the culture of scientific research among students at all levels, considering nursing research creativity as a practical framework for developing nursing science.
The Faculty is committed to developing nursing knowledge locally, regionally, and globally by conducting distinguished scientific research. This extends to fostering a culture of education and continuous learning among students, ensuring they stay abreast of professional and technological progress. Additionally, the program strives to strengthen cooperation and partnership with local, regional, and international institutions to improve nursing care.
Upon graduation, the program opens a multitude of professional fields for graduates. Specializing in nursing offers a guaranteed array of career opportunities. Graduates can find roles in government or private hospitals, rehabilitation and physical therapy centers, and various organizations such as Motherhood and Childhood centers, family planning centers, health training and education centers, as well as universities and schools. The nursing profession further provides opportunities for specialization, including roles as nursing supervisors, surgical nurses, internal medicine nurses, obstetrics and gynecology nurses, maternity and childhood nurses, anesthesia and intensive care nurses, home nurses, school nurses, health care nurses, emergency nurses, and dialysis nurses.
