The department of kindergarten, Faculty of Education, Alasmarya Islamic University offers educational programs in the Kindergarten. The program has 127 credits, 61 courses, and a minimum of 8 semesters of study for graduation, 265 graduates throughout 14 batches including students have been enrolled in the program up to this year.

The Kindergarten department was established in the academic year 2004 AD, and it is one of the departments of the College of Education at Alasmarya Islamic University. In this department, the students are required to study (8) semesters, (28) specialized courses, (33) general and supporting courses, with a total number of (132) studying hours, and (127) studying credits. The number of graduates of the department since its founding has reached (265) female graduates distributed over (14) batches. In the Kindergarten department there are (11) teaching staff members and (5) teaching assistants. The student is granted a license's degree in education. The department is committed to preparing a creative and stimulating educational environment that helps in making a talented teacher with high competence in dealing with children, and developing the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare them comprehensively in all educational, psychological, physical and health aspects.

The Department’s program seeks for adopting modern educational applications and the play-learning strategy to develop the cognitive and behavioral development of the kindergarten child, provide female students with information to understand the nature of the child and his development. Also it aims at focusing on conducting research and studies that concern kindergarten, forming tests and standards related to the department’s specialization. In addition to that, it seeks for cooperation between the department and various state institutions. In the scientific fields within which the department specializes.

For the professional fields of program,   graduates has the ability to apply educational concepts in dealing with children in nurseries and kindergartens, and that graduates be faculty members capable of dealing with problems and using modern technical means. In addition, it enhances their ability to use different teaching methods that are appropriate for the age stage, and that they with all the scientific aspects of the course, and the graduates are capable to develop and improve the work environment and society. Moreover preparing them to assume teaching and supervisory tasks in nurseries and kindergartens in public institutions.
