The department of Islamic economics, Faculty of Economics, Alasmarya Islamic University was established in 2015, the department offers educational program (bachelor's) in Islamic economics. The program has 137 credits, 48 courses, and a minimum of 7 semesters of study for graduation, 28 students graduated, and 07 batches of students have been enrolled in the program up to this year.

The department is seeking to be a pioneer in preparing specialized and academically qualified staff in the field of Islamic Economics, highly efficient, able to compete with confidence, able to continue postgraduate studies, conduct scientific research in the field of specialization, and study different economic problems to contribute to find appropriate solutions, which leads to the development of the people of the region, which reflects on society and the nation.

The goal of the program offered by the department of accounting is to prepare qualified and specialized cadres in economic sciences to contribute effectively to Economic development, qualify young and educated people to contribute to meeting the needs of the labor market, conduct specialized scientific research and studies to serve economic development, develop scientific curricula and reviewing them continuously in line with the development of accounting sciences, activate scientific research and developing students’ research capabilities, hold conferences, seminars, and scientific courses, and activate advisory activity for all public and private institutions.

The economics major sector is rich in job opportunities, and these are the most important jobs in which a graduate of the economics major can work: human Resource Management, Economic analysis, financial analysis, financial consultant, financial expert, Insurance companies, Public and private banks, tax collection, Accountant, Teacher in schools, institutes, and universities, finance audit, and Presenter of economic and financial programs in the media.
