The department of biology, Faculty of Education, Alasmarya Islamic University offers educational programs in the biology. The program has 133 credits, 56 courses, and a number of 8 semesters of study for graduation, 610 graduates throughout 22 batches have been enrolled in the program up to this year.The Biology Department is one of the departments of the Faculty of Education at the Alasmarya Islamic University. The program started in 1998. It grants students a Bachelor’s degree in Education, specializing in Biology, by studying (8) semesters, with (154) hours, and (133) credits concerned with preparing and qualifying specialized academic and educational cadres. To meet the requirements of the labor market in the field of biology, prepare a teacher capable of teaching students in the basic and secondary education stage, encourage and develop scientific research skills in the fields of biology and its teaching methods. In addition, it provides the graduate with sufficient information that qualifies him to complete his post-graduate studies in biology and its teaching methods, enriches him with intensive field training that will help them prepare educational lessons with high professionalism, and perform them perfectly, and for the graduate to learn how to build and develop biology curricula in a way that contributes to the advancement of the educational process.
The biology program seeks to enlighten students on the importance of biology, prepare them as future educational teachers, and are capable to use modern teaching techniques and make optimal use of them to achieve the desired goals, fill schools’ need for biology teachers, and cooperate with relevant educational institutions to develop the department’s educational programs locally and internationally. For the professional fields of program, graduates has ability to teach professionally in basic and secondary schools, has the ability to Work in laboratories that are in hospitals, or those that are in universities, and environmental sanitation laboratories.
